Just arrived back from a two night stay at Ogradys if its great old fashioned hospitality you want where nothing is to much trouble then its Ogradys that gets my vote.From the minute we arrived we were made to feel very welcome check in very easy and everything explained,rooms amazing,staff amazing,decor amazing a big thankyou for all your hard work in making our stay most enjoyable
Grandma's 90th. Amazing afternoon tea for 40 plus. Lovely scones with butter, jam and cream (in that order) Sarnies, cakes and sausage rolls. Thanks to all the staff, you did an excellent job.
Fantastic night watching a new band last night. The bar staff gave their usual friendly service and the door staff made did a great job making people feel welcome and safe.
I can’t comment on the hotel itself as I haven’t stayed here, but I have visited several times for Sunday lunch. One Sunday in Redcar we originally went to a restaurant on the front, but there was over an hour wait for food due to only one chef being in. We were recommended O’Grady’s instead, so we headed over. When we arrived, there were no free tables in the restaurant, but we were offered seats in the bar, which we didn’t mind at all. Unfortunately for me, the beef had already sold out, and since I don’t eat pork or gammon, I chose the turkey—even though I’m not usually a fan. It turned out to be absolutely delicious, so much so that I still crave it now! We’ve been back several times since because we just love it . We’ve eaten in both the bar and the restaurant. The restaurant is definitely more comfortable and inviting, but I actually prefer the way the meals are served in the bar—already plated and ready to enjoy. I’m really keen to visit during the week sometime to try something from their main menu. The staff have always been friendly and helpful, which makes the experience even better.
Went for lunch today, £9 for a pensioner lunch, plenty on the plate. I had turkey and my partner had beef, neither of us disappointed. Carrots, cabbage, leeks in sauce, roast potatoes, mashed potato and stuffing with the turkey. Also a lovely Yorkshire pudding. Had a glass of wine, two pints of beer, and shared a dessert. Bill came to £31, can't go wrong. Lovely staff and nice surroundings, will definitely be back when next in Redcar
Love this place for something to eat - I prefer the steak pie but am quite partial to a piece of fish. The prices are excellent and the portion sizes are huge - already looking forward to my next visit.
Very friendly staff, accommodating, nothing to much trouble, food was great, atmosphere great. The decor is out of this world very interesting, I loved it!
